In Germany, 2 Mbps has become de facto standard, and 6 Mbps DSL lines
are relatively cheap and readily available. Many ISPs now also offer 16
Mbps, though this is currently limited to densely populated areas, but
with the growing market share of IPTV, it is bound to become standard,
too.
The only thing that keeps me from upgrading to 6 Mbps at the moment is
that Arachne seems to hit a ceiling at cca 250 Kbps, so with a larger
bandwidth it would only waste more of it.
