Bastiann,

You still don't have GS.EXE to run the program, even after getting all three zip files. I noted in an earlier post that Patrice's collection is not a complete distro. Likewise with Joerg Dietze's provision. Though in his case the situation is reversed -- we are supplied with an EXE but not the rest of the distro. He says "Get a 7.05 distro ... (and) replace the exe with the one from (his) zip." I tried to do that with the ESP-GS 7.05 distro downloaded from http://www.caddit.net/programming.php, but it did not work. Though the ESP-GS 7.05 executable is gs.exe rather than gs386.exe, as from Joerg. So maybe that ESP-GS distro is not compiled for 32-bit.

The only thing I have gotten to work at all so far is ARA-PDF.APM from Glenn McCorkle at http://www.cisnet.com/glennmcc/apm/ara-pdf.apm
It uses Aladdin's v5.10 distro and Joerg Dietze's PDF2HTM.

This works with older PDF's, but not even those if they were created under encryption. There is an encryption patch available from Geoffrey Keating at http://foam.wonderslug.com/~geoffk/pdfencrypt/, but I was not able to get it to work in opening a file that was generating an encryption error. (Test this document: http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf - The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998.)

So Joerg, if you can point us to a 7.05 GS distro that works with your mods, that would be great!

Or Patrice, tell us where to get a Ghostscript EXE (and DOS extender?) that works with your collection!

<clipped>

!!!! PS: I made this comment because I downloaded just one attachment
from Patrice... the two missing attachments were available the next day.
So I did not have gs.exe to run this.

Are GS1.ZIP, GS2.ZIP and GS3.ZIP all that is needed??
