Hello Eric,

Yup, my mobo has USB ports.

At this point, I think you need to identify your mobo or
more specifically whether it is PCI-BIOS v2.1 or above.

Try the CT BIOS ID utility (in German, but you'll decipher
what you need) from:

ftp://ftp.heise.de/pub/ct/ctsi/ctbios15.zip  87kB

It'll run in DOS or a Doze DOS box, and show the PCI-BIOS
on the ninth line of results.

If it reports lower than v2.1 then it's no-go for the PCI
USB card with your current setup :-(
