I believe that most online banking sites are infested with JavaSh*t.
So, even if you can log on to an online banking site with Arachne
and its new features for doing SSL, you still might not be able to do
anything on the site once you get into it because of the JS
infestations.
Back in 2003 I was able to do everything, including online bill
payments, by using Lynx386 with my son's online banking account with
the Navy Federal Credit Union. My son was deployed overseas at the
time and he had provided me with a legal document authorizing me to
manage his financial affairs for him while he was away. Lynx386 is
an SSL-capable DOS-based text browser. It can do SSL just fine but
it can't handle JS. The Navy Federal Credit Union online banking site
wasn't infested with JS at the time. I don't know if it is infested
nowadays. During 2003 I tried several times with Lynx386 to do things
with three of my own banking accounts, but all my attempts were futile
because my own three online banking accounts were all infested with JS.
