Insidentaly, that's exactly what I have done. Alas, those developers
who apreciated the value of that are now gone and the few who are left
will never admit that they have gone down a dead end street, it's a
matter of ego and there is nothing that can be done.

True, it probably never should have been thought of as a money maker.

But is it really a winner take all sort of thing? All the past and
present developers except me are *also* avid Linux users but they
still like DOS too. As for me, I like DOS so much that I still
haven't even bothered to switch to Linux -- I've tried a few times
but I come running back. The 4DOS CLI is so sweet, so perfect, that
I just can't leave.
