No, they won't buy a 486, they don't need to, they're free! What I'm
saying is that very few people have any need for < 486 machines
anymore.

Sure, I run it on my 486 and my newest machines too.

Well which point are you tring to make? Earlier it seemed you were
defending CGA and EGA as still needing support, now it seems you are
dismissing older hardware as irrelevant. I'm not understanding you.

Udo, I didn't say that. What I said was that I could never get it to
work on any of my machines, I think VGA16 is broken.

I don't know, some guys have big TSRs and drivers, so their free mem
is limited.

It's about free memory, speed and most important, about simplifying things
so that a port is easier to achieve.
But, since you will never use my core, and probably very few people
ever will, why are you so upset about this? If anyone likes my work
they can use it, if they don't like it they can ignore it. You talk
as if what I'm doing has some effect on you. Please, if you don't
like my attitude just ignore me.
Let's just agree to disagree, you think CGA is important for Arachne
and I don't. I think 100K more low mem if useful and you don't.
That's cool. Everyone makes his own choice.

Ray Andrews
