I'm getting similar results trying to install on slackware, arch and ubuntu. I'm not able to install on ubuntu but the binary does run on ubuntu. Mouse didn't work though.
As for the website, Glen's just got a type-o in the link name. Delete the node that's repeated.

Trying to get Arachne going on my PC, but no success.
I'm running Slackware11.0 using the 2.6.17.13 kernel
from extras. Just ordered the CDrom set for 12.1 BTW.
