I think the reason could be that my emails are regarded as spam by some
mail filters. I found out that very often my emails land in the trashbin
for this reason even though they do not bear any resemblance with spam
mails. I think you are right about the domain, or perhaps the spam
filters just do not like seeing too many digits in a mail address, who
knows?

Yup, I suppose *exactly* this was the problem since I only had about 3MB
left on the drive where Arachne resides. Someone really should have told
me about this limit! ;-)

I also remember that once I was trying to download a 12MB email and
wondered why I could not get it even though I had 16MB of free disk
space.

But frankly spoken, should not Arachne rather inform the user of this
problem instead of silently fail and have him guess what is wrong?
And is requiring a free space of double the size of the incoming mail
not *a little bit* extreme? ;-)

I would think that checking for the exact size in free space would be
more reasonable, with an additional check to see if there was no error
while writing the file before deleting it.

Udo
