Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
Thanks, Roger.
This _is_ certainly different to what the rest of us get! I can only
suppose your old Yahoo cookie is responsible for this difference.
Have you tried moving/hiding your cookie file to see how a fresh
sign-in behaves? A number of us _do_ sign-in to Yahoo with
Arachne and the only tricks involved are :
1. Cheat the "https" stuff. Note, in one of my earlier postings,
I said words to the effect "AFAIK, 1.71 doesn't have the
Https2Http feature available". Well, since then I have verified
that 1.71 was the first version with this feature. So edit your
'arachne.cfg' file and add the line "Https2Http Yes". Easy.
2. Avoid clicking on the E-mail link. As Glenn has pointed out,
this is likely to lock-up Arachne.
I'm fairly confident that, without your old cookie to complicate
matters, you should be able to sign-in to Yahoo Groups and
have full access (except for file uploading) to the Development
List using good old Arachne (if you so desire, that is).
Joe.
