BTW, I am well aware of the difficulty of downloading files from 
the SIMTEL repositories by using Arachne.  About four or five years 
ago there was a very long thread about that problem on the Arachne
mailing list, in which many of us contributed and participated and 
posted work-arounds for dealing with it.
