[arachne] Re: ARA-PDF.APM under FreeDOS 1.0 and Arachne 1.90J1

Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

Steve,

Ooops, yes, I failed to mention Unix or Linux.
Primary reason is simple enough though...most of
the current work on Arachne has been on DOS version.
So I sort of targeted my response in that direction.
I use the old DOS port of XPDF to convert some PDFs
to plain text myself. However, there have been a
few that don't convert well since they have lots
more images. In Win 95, I've only got Acrobat
Reader version 3.2, and it runs into problems with
displaying fonts. Foxit doesn't seem to have this
problem.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up in regards to "nix"!
