That is probably where the trouble lies.
The message _MUST_ be saved as "TEXTAREA.TMP" otherwise Arachne will not
be able to find it when the email composing screen re-opens.
Regarding the other problem, it is a known bug with Arachne that if the
header fields are filled in immediately before going to the external
editor, their new content will be lost when you return. So far no-one
has been able to find a solution to this bug.
So what you must do is remember to check and re-write these fields as
necessary when you return from the external editor.
But fortunately these fields are not lost if you open the message in the
outbox with the "Modify" button and then write or edit the text with the
external editor.
