[arachne] ARACHNE MAIL BOX / ALTERNATE EDITOR PROBLEM

At this point I seem to be having just one final Arachne problem, this 
one with the Arachne email box in general and the insight email screen 
and my alternate editor (VDE) in particular.

Yes, if I use only the email screen and it's default built in editor, 
and do not use my alternate editor, email completes as it should and is 
ready to send.

But if I use my user defined editor, VDE, which is my most used editor 
and which gives me a lot of extra easy and familiar capabilities beyond 
those of the built in editor, I wind up with an insoluble problem.

Specifically, I normally fill in the data on the insight email screen.  
Then I press the ALTERNATE EDITOR X to call VDE to compose the email and 
all goes well until I complete composition of the email message with 
VDE.  I then use VDE's close and save file keys CTRL K X to save the 
just composed email message, which does so as it should (although in 
this application only [not in other VDE applications] it is not clear to 
what file the message has been saved.

Then the problem arises.  I have saved my just composed email message, 
but insight does not give me back the email screen so I can save the 
just composed message to insight and send it.  Instead, it gives me a 
totally unfilled out email addressing screen that no longer contains the 
address information I previously filled out AND WHICH ALSO DOES NOT 
CONTAIN THE EMAIL MESSAGE I JUST COMPOSED WITH VDE.

[When I compose an email message similarly using Compuserve's email 
composition system I use CTRL E to get VDE as my editor, the message is 
saved as I write it to CIM.TMP or something like that].  Then, when I 
use CTRL K X to close the email just composed with VDE, the message is 
immediately copied to Compuserve's email composed box, where I review it 
for errors and then press F3 to save the message to the outbox, from 
which it will be sent at my command.]


CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO GET INSIGHT TO ACCEPT, SAVE, AND SEND THE 
EMAIL MESSAGE I HAVE JUST COMPOSED WITH VDE?
