Could you use telnet to login instead of browser?  As page says: this is web
browser version.  Should mean there is an alternative?

It crossed my mind and now I tried telnet:

>From the DOS commandline: telnet needs some kind of config file and refuses any action.

>From within Arachne: some action. Telnet is sending BOOTPs:...... until time out.

I did use telnet in the past to resolve stuck e-mail problems in Arachne. No idea what thos BOOTPs actualy means
