Could you use telnet to login instead of browser? As page says: this is web
browser version. Should mean there is an alternative?
Cal
It crossed my mind and now I tried telnet:
>From the DOS commandline: telnet needs some kind of config file and
refuses any action.
>From within Arachne: some action. Telnet is sending BOOTPs:......
until time out.
I did use telnet in the past to resolve stuck e-mail problems in
Arachne. No idea what thos BOOTPs actualy means

Almost there!
It makes me sick that you need JS to just get a connection.
Or that you even need to worry about any of that. Isn't it possible
to get a list of the exact communications that are needed? If
we knew what sort of information was to be sent back and forth,
it would be easy to create a script, rather like an ftp logon
that you see in the ftp.log.
