Ah Ha !!!!
There are the IP addresses we need. :))
machine #2 (Win98 + DOS) 192.168.1.65 =>=>
Ping 192.168.1.254 did echo a normal connection.
Sooooo....
--- in arachne.cfg ---
[tcp/ip]
IP_Address 192.168.1.65
IP_Grab IP address set to
NameServer 192.168.1.254
AltNameServer
Gateway 192.168.1.254
AltGateway 0.0.0.0
Netmask 255.255.255.0
TCPconfig PPPRTR.CFG

--- in ppprtr.cfg ---
my_ip = 192.168.1.65
netmask = 255.255.255.0
gateway = 192.168.1.254
sockdelay=60
hostname=arachne
mss=1600

And if Arachne will not connect to....
http://speedtouch.lan/cgi/b/ic/connect/?nm=1&client=192.168.1.65&server=198.18.1.8&event=DNSSpoofed&url=www.msn.nl/
Change the domain name (speedtouch.lan), to the IP address of the
router/modem....
http://192.168.1.254/cgi/b/ic/connect/?nm=1&client=192.168.1.65&server=198.18.1.8&event=DNSSpoofed&url=www.msn.nl/
Also try these settings for Arachne.....
--- in arachne.cfg ---
[tcp/ip]
IP_Address WATTCP
IP_Grab IP address set to
NameServer
AltNameServer
Gateway
AltGateway
Netmask
TCPconfig PPPRTR.CFG
