[arachne] A strange thing happened

It was Sunday.

The preacher's mutterings had been barely comprehensible, though his
enthusiasm knew no bounds.

The congregation tried hard to pay attention, but it was late and they
had heard the sermon so many, many times.

Suddenly, from the dark recesses, a dragon appeared. "Fear my flames,
oh preacher!" the mighty beast roared.

The preacher cowered behind the pulpit and could not speak for he was
mortal and sore afraid. But what of the message? Timorously he
repeated his incantations; swiftly, for he knew it was his last.

Suddenly a bright and wondrous light shone from the east.

A hush fell over the scene.

"We are saved" cried the preacher, "A merry Christmas to all, and yea
verily unto the dragon also"
