Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
FTP on Yahoo? How, pray tell, do you propose this be accomplished?
The way Yahoo is at present, FTP is not allowed even for Windows (3.1 and 95)
that I know of without paying for extra options. Even sharing a Yahoo
Briefcase
with others is difficult to say the least, though it isn't impossible. Also,
why would
a list of to-do items need to be in anything other than plain text? "KISS" is
still a good rule to follow.
I have web sites hosted by GeoCities, now a part of Yahoo. Anytime I desire
to upload a file I have to fire up at least Windows 3.1 and Opera 3.62 to gain
access to the HTTP Upload. More likely than not, I also have to enable some
level of JavaScript. All attempts to access GeoCities via FTP result in
failure
since my sites are "free" and not paid for.
More important than a "to do list" right now is getting a handle on just exactly
WHERE someone can find the full installer files for Arachne, various versions.
I keep personal copies at GeoCities...the 1.73 Lite edition is there if anyone
needs it.

To be useful, an FTP site should allow anonymous access for visitors that
desire to download. But, it is best practice to only allow uploads via
authorized
users. This would help keep out unwanted junk. Maybe I should look for a
free FTP host that allows such services?
