I saw E on channel 2, but it was a jumble.

It was unlikely that was E on the weather band. The distances are too short. I
have had lots of tropospheric ducting there, however.

Subject: [amstereo-dmf] Big E Skip Opening Currently on FM

On my way home from work I thought my local 106.1 oldies station was off the
air but after tuning around there is a great big skip opening currently in

4-5 stations on every FM frequency coming from multiple directions so very hard
to ID. The only catch I got in the car was RDS of "Classic Country 92.3" with
an ad for Connie's Cookies in Wichita.

Reports are coming in from around the US of many of my locals being heard
throughout the South and West. Also saw a report of someone receiving E skip of
NOAA weather broadcasts in the 162.40-162.55 MHz band from several hundreds of
miles away.
