Members and Friends of Austin Mennonite Church
I pray you are energized by the anticipation of the reign of God coming
more and more fully upon the earth.
Repent and reconnect! In our time, animals prey on one another, people
oppress one another, and nature is damaged by the ax. God calls us to
repent and live into a surprising new order: a menagerie of friendly
beasts, people who live in harmony with one another, and natural
regrowth from deep roots.
The scriptures suggested for Advent 2 are Isaiah 11:1-10; Mathew 3:1-12;
and Romans 15:4-13. Thoughts prompted by these passages will compose
the sermon, 'The nature of choice.'
The Worship Schedule for December 2010 is attached, and the
Announcements follow below.
