Joyce,
Sticky backing, in my opinion maybe not the best way to go. I took a piece
of particle board (sanded lightly and painted so you have a smooth surface)
and made a sleeve arm out of it, then I clamp this to my table and hoop
them in a 12-15 cm hoop. Took the pain out of hooping sleeves and you get a
better tension on the fabric. Mine is 7" wide and 16" long. Works well with
pant legs also. My .02 worth.
