[amayausers] Re: sewing on pique shirts

seems to be I'm on the right track-and the lightweight pique is not the best
to use. I've screened on the Cross Creek and Devon & Jones, Harvard Square
is another premium weight-those brands are probably twice the thickness of
the lightweight Gildan & Port I'm using. With this customer, its price-not
quality.
I have not tried the 'mesh' backing-will have to order it and give it a go.
Using the 2 oz. cutaway and folding it in half, then solvy on top. Ran 11
and only 1 thread break in all.
There is a THICKER cutaway we had a full bag of-large pieces-and the tech
that left them here has no idea where he got them from! I'd say a 3 oz?
compared to the 2 oz-we used it up-was the greatest for shirts and
sweats-superior to the 'melco' brand and weights. anyone have a source for
heavier? Would have worked on the pique with only one layer...
Solvy is a big help, but a pain to peel off between small letters. A hand
held 'steamer' (Oreck brand) helps some to clean it off.
