[amayausers] Re: other software on computer

Unless you break a stitch. You would then need to reload design because
machine will not have a reference point of where you are in design.

I have both programs on my computer with all my other stuff, and haven't had
a problem with it. I usually don't run alot of other programs while I'm
running my AMAYA, but I don't think it would hurt anything if I did. If the
computer locks up, the design is already downloaded to the machine's board,
and will continue to sew out.

Subject: [amayausers] other software on computer

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to remember what was decided or suggested when we bought our
Amaya. I thought that it was suggested that Design Shop Pro and the
Operating System be the only software installed on the computer that is
dedicated to running our Amaya. Husband says that he thought they meant
that we could have other software installed in the computer, but not have
any other software up and running while operating the Amaya. We're not
having any problems with just the Amaya software on the computer, but we're
thinking of taking our Amaya on the road next year...which starts me trying
to decide whether or not I have to take two computers. Anyone have any
comments on the subject?

I sure love the way the latest version of the Operating Systems starts the
needle sewing a little slower....am having so many less thread pull outs at
the beginning of designs.

Happy sewing!
