The two issues you're referring to definitely have to do with the software
upgrade.

The sewing field for the 15mm hoop (and others) have been reduced and
slightly offset downwards to accommodate the presser foot.  I do recall in
the past the presser foot lightly tapping the back edge of the hoop even
thought it was within the sewing field.  This doesn't happen any more.
Sure, the field is slightly smaller.  If you now have to resize the design,
consider trying the next larger hoop.

The problem with the crazy material thickness and sewing speed has to do
with designs that were SAVED in the older software version and are now being
run in the new software version.  It does mention something about this in
the "Install Notes" paperwork you received with the software CD.  However it
doesn't tell you what could happen.  We had the same experience.  Until
there is a fix for this, the way around it is, In ACPS, after you've loaded
your design, go into "settings", "color settings", and TURN OFF the option
named "settings by color".  Unfortunately, you won't be able to save this to
default which means you have to do this before every design you run just in
case that particular design might have the same negative result.

At first you might want to go back to the previous version of software but
hang in there.  I happen to know that writing flawless software code that is
compatible with older software can sometimes be tougher than rocket science
and Melco has some real Ace's working on these issues as we speak.  We've
gotten used to the "work-around" now and appreciate the new features in the
Flex Software.  Good luck.

I recently installed the new version of software for my Amaya. There are 2
things making me crazy. Is it just me?

1-The sewing field for the hoops is much smaller now. Many designs that used
to sew great on the 15mm are now to big and have to be re-sized.

2-At color change my machine automatically changes speed and material
thickness! On one particular design it slowed to 300 spm and a material
thickness of 25! Where is this coming from and how can I fix it!
