[amayausers] Re: new tool for hooping

Good idea Edna,

Also,
Here's a real cheap way to hoop straight...
Lay your garment on a table. Place a strip of masking tape on the garment
where the embroidery is to go so that it looks straight horizontally. Hoop
the garment. Now look at the masking tape's edge and and determine if the
tape looks parallel with the edges of the hoop. Now remove the tape and
away you go!
Good ole eye balls still working for me.
Ed

Subject: [amayausers] new tool for hooping

Well, I just got a newsletter from one of the sites I visit and thought
this would work for our commercial hoops. I usually make a center mark and
a 3-6-9 and 12 o'clock mark with an EmGrid then try to get it to match up
the marks with the marks on my hoop. Sometimes I get it slightly off and
need to rotate the outer hoop a bit to get it straight. This new tool looks
perfect for adjusting the design instead on those items that were hard to
get into the hoop in the first place!

NAYY, I don't do enough to justify investing in any of the hoop stations
so this might be just the thing for me, and affordable enough at $29.95.

It's supposed to help with aligning continuous embroidery too?

  Edna
