When mine does this I simply push the red button, let it set for a couple
minutes then twist button to the right and allow the machine to come back
on.
Works every time so far.

Hi,
  I have only a Amaya. When that happens to me I try head up,also if that
doesn't work shut off machine and turn on.  Most times the needle goes up
and will go back to last place.
