You shouldn't be working on the 4th and a Sunday at that, but thanks a bunch 
for your response. I will try to answer all your questions.
The thread rollers seem fine. (as they should - I have less than 300,000 
stitches on this machine)
This is my second amaya (replacement) I have had it about a year, it has 
never been worked on so I assume the rotary hook is the original.
I have having fraying with the break.
I have blown the bobbin case out repeatedly with air, used flashlight cannot 
see any threads. 
I can hear a rattle when I move the spindle in the bobbin case, doesn't seem 
to move much but it does make a rattling sound.
Because I let my machine sit for days, weeks at a time, I oil my rotary hook 
at almost every start up (at the advice of Melco)
the last 2 days I have ran from 350spm - 850spm, I rarely run it any faster 
than 850.
I am using 40wt polyester thread.  Its breaking on all designs and needles. 
Needles that I am using look fine. (I still have 2 needles I can't use, 
because I can't seem to get them in right)
Rod, I hope I answered all your questions, I was really hoping to get 
somethings made for my granddaughter before she goes back to California next 
week.
