Just had to comment on your remark Linda about 'garment you run on 8
changing to 6)
Where I embroider 3,4 6 pieces at a time, I may run 100-200 screen printing
. Big difference in quantities on the orders...so I get caseloads of goods
from different suppliers. Where 90% of the textiles are 'imported' (even if
they say 'made in the U.S.' on label-there are many many 'territories' and
islands that the US controls-factories there with almost slave labor-but
owned by US companies) you may have the 'same' shirt made at different
factories out of different batches of material. Couple of years ago we ran
an order for several hundred plain old WHITE teeshirts....and realized when
the shipment came in that each SIZE of shirt was made in a different
location-different country or island...(and these were Jerzee brand!) and we
ended up with 5 DIFFERENT shades of white! And the material had different
feels to it, and weighed differently.
So I would not be at all surprised if you got 'the same shirt' with the same
label-but it came from different factories!
Just like some of the world famous 'sneaker' companies-multibillion dollar
companies- don't even OWN a single factory-a lot of the 'brand name' shirts
and such are made at the same factories that make other brands.
Just get in the habit of checking every time you get a new shipment!
