Hi Wendy and Lou,
First, make sure you read the code sheets for the particular alphabet being
used. Also, in the Help of Design Shop/ in the Alphabet Code Sheets part is
a short explanation for using the alphabets. This can help a lot if you have
not read it.
Second, what alphabets have you had trouble with, and what kind of problems?
Perhaps if I know the particulars I can give some suggestions.
Things to take into consideration are garment type, size of the letter you
trying to sew out, what type of underlay you are using etc. If the letters
are causing thread breaks or look very narrow, add some column width to the
design. If sewing on knit, use solvy to improve the stitches stay on top of
the fabric. If sewing them on a coarse material and you are getting a jagged
look to the sewing, use a sharp needle and perhaps try an edgewalk underlay.
Let me know which ones and the particulars and I will look at what you are
trying to do and see if I can be of help.
