[amayausers] Re: favorite fonts in Design Shop?

I, too, would be interested----

I am having very good results with the AMAYA in small
lettering......BUT..... I have starting usings options that I have not
experimented with until now.

The tab in ' settings" marked "color by settings" is becoming a valuable
tool. It allows you to change several items, material thichness, column
width and SPEED are what I am finding out is important to get acceptable
results.

Hats are the most challenging, but in general, I run small letters ( .14 to
.2 approx ) at not more than 600 spm ( on hats ) (700 to 1000 on flats), 55
to 60 column width and increase the material thickness 1 to 3 points,
depending on whether I am sewing over the top of a fill or not.

I have better luck with no underlay on the really small letters ( .13 to
.18 ) range. If I use underlay at all, I will use a stitch length of 12 to
15 pts.

If you are not using the color by settings tab, you ought to check it out.
It is a really neat option when playing with small letters.

The 5.07 version of Design shop also lets you modify individual letters
within a word. A valuable option when tring to sew a word over the center
seam in a cap....
