I cannot tell you how many boats at our marina have something embroidered by me!

Next year our boat will get all new goodies!

  It started out that way for us as well.  A Catalina 22....Then a Catalina 
30...less than a year later it was a 34..  My husband promises this will be the 
last for a while, but I caught him looking at power boats on the internet the 
other day!  (claims he was trying to find out what someone's boat looks like to 
see if he can find a stock design for a customer)

  We have found that racing syndicates are a great place to get work from!  
Also, everyone loves to have their boat name embroidered on something!  We have 
done sail bags made out of Kevlar sails with embroidered patches on them for 
trophies as well.

    Well it looks we more than Amayas is common.

    The marina where we keep our boat is how I ended up doing the captains 
chairs last year.

    My hubby suffers from "two-foot-itis" and we upgraded from a 22 foot Larsen 
to a Sundancer 300 this year. Yeh, just a little bigger. LOL

      Oh, I know what you are talking about.  My husband and I are "yachties" 
as well.  We own a Catalina 34 sailboat and am fully aware of  what B-O-A-T 
stands for!   Actually, it was our sail boat that got us into the embroidery 
industry!  (long story).

      Thank you for the web site info.  I will check it out.  I have done 
repairs on the existing chairs that they have at the club (replacing the 
backing due to wear) but have not embroidered on them before.  The fabric backs 
that I bought from Pier One are just the "testers" that I am going to sew out 
on before tackling the backs to the chairs that the club purchased.

        They sell the chairs and also sell backs with the piece of fabric to 
cover the embroidery. I have done the Pier One chair backs and I must admit 
that when I walked into my customer's store and the chair back was facing me 
ALL I COULD SEE WAS THE BOBBIN AND BACKING.   Thank goodness it was a temporary 
position for the chairs. But I will order them from this company with the cover 
the next time I have a customer asking for them.

        I have seen this company at one of the trade shows and they were 
selling the kids' director chairs for $10 there.
