Re: [amayausers] color of design in Design Shop Pro+The only way that the
colors would come up right
is if the design was created or edited in Design shop
and saved as an .OFM format and only then
would it show the colors if they were clicked and picked
in the program and saved afterwards.
and even then if you have use colors from design
unchecked in settings it may not show them or show
them correctly. but once you open the design in Amaya OS
and set the colors and then save as and name your file
either a new name or the same old one. the right color
scheme should show up next time it is opened.
But, it will only show the color assigned to the thread tree number
when it was saved. So if you save the design with one part
being thread 16 which was lt blue at the time and now
has been changed to be orange, when the design is opened
it will show it as orange because it save the thread tree number
sequence not the actual assigned thread chart numbers .
Hope that makes some sense.
We use the notepad function to save the color list and then it will
come up when we open the design. all we do is hit the notepad
button again and there it is.
Still working out some of the bugs on that one but it is a cool function.

I get that all the time...anything we open in 'Dakato' treasure chest is
never even CLOSE to the colors they list or show in the book. Don't know if
there is anything we can do-we just click each color box and make it what we
need to see...most of the time I find it easier to just use RGB color box
selection-and once we send it to Amaya, THEN I pick the right 'thread' to match
colors. My monitors are NOT 'color corrected' or in synch or whatever it is
supposed to be-so any colors in the color chart EXCEPT RGB look absolutely
horrible and not even CLOSE to the actual thread. And since Amaya doesn't save
any thing we set for each design (if it does, we haven't figured out HOW in
over a year!) it isn't worth the time and trouble to set it by 'exact color
number'....we just do a sewout on white pellon and write down each spool # we
used, to save time next order!

Subject: [amayausers] color of design in Design Shop Pro+
Was wondering if I have something set up/defaulted incorrectly. Whenever I
open or insert a purchased design in Design Shop the colors of the design are
not what they should be. I cannot seem to find where I need to correct this in
Design Shop. Help, please.
