Hi All,
Some confusion on bobbin tension. It has changed through the course of the
Amaya development. Current specification, with current up todate machines
and adjustments, (meaning you machine has been adjusted to current specs.,
and all should be by now), is to set the bobbin to drop 2 to 4 inches with a
little jerk to get it to drop.
Now, looser is great for some things. Delicate materials for instance. A
sweatshirt with a thickness that is going to compress a bit will need a
little tighter than loose to drop on its own. An overall good adjustment is
the 2 to 4 inch drop test.
