Aaron's 'fixed' design is running now...waiting to see how the first one
looks! 'Smoke' I had changed a column points in density already-those went
great. Its the 'flame' lettering giving us fits with thread breaks.
Went into design shop and looked at flame 'font' again-and the color doesn't
go 'top to bottom, top to bottom' as it shows in the pdf print out of the
font. The colors go 'top to bottom- yellow/orange/red,' then the red starts
at the TOP of the next letter, then the yellow/orange, then orange to the
top of the next, and so on...even with a color break between each letter.
When I converted to wireframe, it was obvious that the 'design' of each
'color' had that 'bottom of one to top of the next' link-THEN it made the
break! So I had to go in and move all the color breaks...
If the lettering was horizontal, I could see doing the 'yellow' tops all
across first, then the orange, then the red...but with the lettering
vertical, there is less hoop movement and same number of trims going top to
bottom. Looks great with the design! But its about 21 minutes for each one-I
have to slow it down where I threw in a metallic variegated just for fun on
the 'towel' hanging on the guys belt...
I'm sure they'll love it!
3 more to go.....
Roland
