[amayausers] Re: XP Professional vs XP Home vs ???

  Thank you Paul...
We are not going in for our "regular" training. We completed that a year
ago October. Rod will be going in for two weeks to become a tech. He will
retire soon from his current job and has the ability to become a "good
tech". We recently had to have a tech fly from the Oregon coast to work on
our machine for the first time and that pretty well made up our mind to go
take the training so we will have someone in our area a bit closer. By the
way, our machine is having to be replaced. When your machine goes on the
fritz during holiday sewing and cannot be repaired, it sure makes you wish
you had a second for a backup!

As for the software question, it will be for the laptop he needs to travel
with. That was my BIG QUESTION since we don't know much about software
other than Windows 98SE and 2000. We might as well upgrade to whatever is
most current but I have heard rumblings about some of the XP software so
just am not sure whether or not to go that route....
  Sharon
