[amayausers] Re: What PC is needed to run Amaya XT?

The reason your laptop is slower is because the RPM (Rotations per minute) on
your hard drive is slower on laptops. It has always been this way. Laptops run
at 4200rpm or 5400rpm while desktops run at 7200rpm. Some of the newer desktops
run at 10,000rpm. There are other factors as well such as how many processes
are running, CPU speed, RAM, etc. but hard drive speed is very important if you
use the computer a lot.

Are you sure it is 120mb of ram, it should be 128, 256, 512 or
combinations of those number added together. Windows XP recommends a minimum
of 256mb but 512mb is really the preferred minimum, if you have less then
512mb upgrade ram is cheap.
As far as running your Amaya's on the laptop, I found that the OS ran slower
on my high end laptop then it does on my low end tower PC but your laptop
should run the machines fine. Just my opinion.
