[amayausers] Re: Version 6.08.522

Jeff,

I think the light bulb just got a little brighter...

In the end, when "settings by color" has been turned off, after being on,
what should happen to all of the parameters on that screen: 1) as designed?
2) as reality in version 6.08.27? 3) other versions?

Even though my software is now at 6.08.522, in reality, the problem occurred
in 6.08.027 - got it.

Auto acti-feed - loaded the new RSA/CSA
1) When I look at the file dates in the directory they are dated 12/21/05;
on the Maintenance window RSA Revision = 20.00 and CSA Revision = 1.76. In
a post from Frank Davis his RSA is 3.23. What should mine be at?
2) (I am dying to use the auto acti-feed!) Sewed a sample on heavy cutaway
backing. MT varied from 2 to 5, too much at 2 in my opinion. Had some
thread breaks, that I think were due to too tight tension. It also totally
punched through the "material". Resewed the design, turning off auto
actifeed, set MT = 5. Sewed rather nicely, no thread breaks, no punch out,
looks good. I know that I don't have to use the auto actifeed but I want to
cause I think in the end it will do a better job than I can. What can I do
so that it works for me? (I do not have the new roller system.) I've
inserted the file I was using.

Thanks for all your very good detailed explanations. I'll send you a batch
of cyber cookies! :)

Terri

Terri,

If the thread detect settings in the file were working correctly, you would

see it act as you describe. As they are not working correctly, the behavior
is "expected". :) make sense.. ?

Anyway, I am not sure you quite understand the Setting By Color either.
They are confusing, and I honestly hate the feature, but I do not call all
the shots so the feature is there.

When you turn on Settings By Color, you will notice that there is window
where the Color Changes will now display as boxes with the Color Change
number in it, and each box will be a color in the design. If you click on
Color 3, then set the Speed, the Thread Break settings or what ever as you
want them and save the file, then when it sews and gets to color 3 in the
design, it will use those settings. When it gets to color 4, it will use the

settings saved in the design for color 4 etc. You can go through the design
and set each color to act differently. Now, if you turn off the Settings By
Color, it is going to go back to displaying the settings in the design that
are used when Settings By Color is not on and these settings will effect the

entire design. As the Thread Break Info was not saved correctly in the file
to begin with, it is going to go back to showing it as off. Make sense? or
nonsense as the case may be,, <grin>
