Lora,
You should have been sent the AOS upgrade as well, but there is a way to
have the files work correctly until the AmayaOS software arrives.
When you save a file in Design Shop, Click on File, then Save As, then at
the bottom Save as type: and select Version 4.02 OFM file. The older AmayaOS
software will open and be able to use it. Design Shop or AmayaOS both have
the ability to save files in older versions of OFM so that there is downward
compatibility.

Subject: [amayausers] Upgrade
Okay everyone....heads up on the upgrades we are getting....
I received my Design Shop Upgrade in the mail on March 5 and installed the
upgrade and then completed and saved a number of designs to be done last
week while I was on vacation. None of the designes I did could be used.
They kept getting an error messages as to the conflict of the version of
Design Shop vs. the Amaya OS.
After spending time waiting on the phone yesterday on hold and recalling
today I finally talked to someone at Melco about the problem. He informed
me there is a separate upgrade needed for the OS and it should have been
sent with the Design Shop upgrade.
So....words of warning...don't upgrade one without upgrading the other and
if you don't get them both together, call and make sure they have sent both
of them.
