I would say that as long as you have quality thread that should not be an
issue..
Make sure the tube is high enough above the cone.
Sometimes that can cause catches.
Otherwise ARC, Ackermann (my pref), RA, etc... Good thread should run on the
Amaya.
When I started I had just as much trouble with ARC as Ackermann...
So, my guess the thread is not the issue.
Double check the needle position...
I know it has been said before...
But try to turn the eye 5 deg. to the right.
Just a little trick that worked for me when I was fighting everything else.
I know you should not have to do it.
But sometimes it works.
