For white/ash shirts I use transfer technology's laser paper (I have a color
laser); for opaque, I use their inkjet paper (their laser paper has too long
of a press time - almost a minute). Both of these do better with a heat
press but I think you can use a home iron. Their website is
_www.transfertechnology.com_ (http://www.transfertechnology.com) . I really
like the "hand" of the
laser paper and its durability. The opaque is always heavy handed no matter
what brand you get just due to its very nature and it holds up moderately well
(you'll see cracking after 20 washes).
I have done hundreds of the laser and opaque transfers over the last couple
of years.
I'm checking out a new paper called Photo-Trans ImageClip by Neehah paper.
It is self-weeding heat transfer paper that only transfers the toner. My first
attempt did not give a really good result so I need to test temp & time
settings a bit. No hand is enticing as it will compare with screenprinted items
but it still only works on white/ash garments. I understand that companies are
working on either a white ink or some other solution to the color t-shirt
market.

Does anyone have a preference for transfer paper that can be ironed on
at a home operation?
