I do seatbacks for a few boat companies. They were concerned that after
sitting in the sun all the time the colors will fade. I did some tests by
sewing out their design using different rayon and poly thread. I found that
Madeira Poly tends to fade the least, although it will still fade some. I
know this doesn't directly answer your question but I don't know of any
actual UV thread so I found a 2nd best option.

Subject: [amayausers] Thread that is UV protected

Hi folks,

I have a question for al of you. Is there such a thing , thread that is UV
protected ?? This customer wants embroidery done on the patio furniture and
I was told it must be UV protected so that it does not fade in the sun.
Please help if you know of such thread that I can go find out how much it
will cost. Before I say yes to the job.

Many thanks
Bebe
