It's ok. I am a tech and did the same thing other day. Emailed melco to
ask a question and found out the answer was in the service notes :)

DOH!

Hi Tom:

As far as greasing - the hubs of each of the pinch wheel and the threadfeed
roller itself is what I do. The places where the wheels make contact with
the sockets they sit in. There should be some pictures/instructions of this
in your users guide :) I would post them to the website but I don't have
access to the users guide where I am right now. Be sure not to get any
grease on the rubber roller itself or the surface of the pinch roller that
contacts the rubber of the thread feed roller.

Hope that makes sense :)

John;
When you say grease the black hub, are you talking inside the hub, outside
the hub or both?

Thanks,

Tom

Take out the thread feed roller and pinch rollers. Get some lightly soapy
water - and clean them off including any remnant grease. Repeat if
necessary till all the grime is off. Then rinse with water very well. Dry
with a soft cloth. Then regrease both items appropriately and put them back
on the machine.

Should work. If it doesn't - replace one or both.

I have experienced the thread being thrown off to the left (as you look at
the roller)on one of my red feed rollers. This is new kink for me but has
virtually rendered this needle position useless. Any ideas on how to fix
this problem, I sure would appreciate it.
