After my wife (! not me!) broke off a couple of the screws, and we were lucky the threads were so long-pliers underneath backed it out...we got more screws, and the right angle screw driver messed up the head. Had to use vicegrips to loosen or tighten them... Several times the screws would loosen up in use and the hoops would move...broken needles, misalignment, etc. Friend of mine works in a precision machine shop-he made us up a handle in STAINLESS STEEL to replace those garbage brass ones. Not one loose hoop since, not one stripped head, not one broken thread. Why couldn't this have been done at the factory? Any mechanic knows that brass threaded rods that thin are NOT going to hold up to any torque...
