[amayausers] Store Design

Thanks (partly) to several responses from the members of this list, I am
now the owner of three Amayas which are temporarily in my dining room. A
lease is about to be signed for a very small store in a retail strip
center/mini mall in Arlington, VA. I am hoping that there are some people
on this list who have a store or are seriously considering one, and can
provide some insight on the layout of the store to make it efficient and
beautiful. In addition to the Amayas, I have a 20"x20" heat press and a
24" vinyl cutter. There is a computer for running the Amayas, one for
design work (Design Shop and transfers), and one for general business
purposes. I am looking for suggestions on the amount of flat workspace
(tabletop), storage space for supplies, how to effectively store/hang
hoops, track/store thread (I have the ARC kit with all 288 colors on 1000M
spools plus large spools), display options for samples, and any other
thoughts that anyone may have.

The dimensions for the space are just under 30' deep and 14' wide. There
are glass walls in the front left corner. The glass in the front wall is
7' wide and on the side wall is 15' deep. The door is located in the side
glass wall about 3.5' from the front corner.

Thanks for your thoughts. I am looking forward to the time when I can give
back to this list!

I wish a happy and prosperous new year to all.
