Have any of you had any experience with Digital Art Solutions? I wanted to
purchase a program to help me create the art for my heat press designs. I
spent over 700 but, was not told about all the pre-requisites. After
another 1000+ and a computer upgrade we still don't work. Now we are close
to 2k for all this and still paying someone to do the artwork for us. Then
to make matters worse I get this insulting email about all my "un-necessary
programs". Amaya, Design Shop and Quick Books Pro, I guess these are really
un-necessary!! NOT
Beware of this one!!!

See my notes below. I have had nothing but trouble every since I spoke and
starting looking at your company and software. I will make sure this is
posted to the dozen or so Internet User Listings that I am a member of. We
talk quite a bit, do a lot of recommendations and also warn what to stay
away from.

Hi LiVawne,
I checked my phone, office and email and didn't hear if you were up and
running.
The problem was this...
1. You had a system that did not meet the required minimum system We were
not told of min requirements, we upgraded!!
requirements to run CorelDRAW and/or Smart Designer properly.
2. The system was inundated with unnecessary applications that drain a We
do not have "inundated unnecessary applications" We have what
is
necessary to run our business. And really really dislike this
statement and attitude.
computer of system resources.
Due to this information there were conflicts with our software and CorelDRAW
ran poorly also. The problem you experienced has happened on no other
machine, therefore it was determined to be a machine specific issue. The
best way and in many cases the only way to solve this type of problem is to
start with a clean machine, by reformatting the drive and reinstalling only
the OS, CorelDRAW, CorelDRAW Service Packs and then Smart Designer. After
they are running properly, you install the other software.
I have a couple of questions...
1. Are you sure the additional memory you added is actually working?
Right-Click on "My Computer" and select properties. It will say how much ram
you have.
2. Did you do the reformat and install as described?
3. Did you upgrade to XP Service Pack 2 as described?
Can you send me a copy of the invoice for that computer along with the
memory upgrade? I can get item numbers that way. I have several Dell's at my
office and I can try and match your configuration exactly and do some
thorough testing. As far as Dell's are concerned, that is the only computer
that I recommend to anyone. It is extremely unusual (It's never happened
before in 14 years of doing this) to have to a problem with one that
actually meets our minimum system requirements. If I have too I will
purchase an identical system to be sure my testing is complete.
Regards,
Steve Blosser
