I'd have to see the 'larger' slimline clamps to believe they could do 
jackets...just the way the clamp is built you cannot slide excess fabric around 
to get to the midshoulder area for sewing.
We use our 'original' set all the time but no way would it hold up to carhart 
(we use the Sanmar work jackets instead-far superior jackets and made for 
embroidery)weight jackets.
So if there is a clamp system that large I'd like to see it!
Lucky you the ones that got emails about sales-we haven't gotten anything from 
melcomart since we bought the machine-just traded up to the XT and still have 
yet to recieve ANYTHING from them for correspondence! Other than a missing hat 
hoop that had to be sent over-we're left out in the cold here...typical of the 
company!
At least this time we expected to hear nothing so we weren't disappointed!
