It depends on the garment. Most manufacturers that make reversible items
and sell wholesale to us put a flap on the item so you can embroider both
sides w/o seeing the back side of the embroidery. Sanmar makes a nice
fleece/nylon reversible vest that I sew all the time although the Sm and Med
sized are difficult to fit a 15cm hoop on and sometimes need to use a 12cm
hoop.
I think Timberline makes some reversible items as well.
