[amayausers] Question...digitizing and dimensions

Hugo, or anyone that may have the answer.....

I have a question that has been bugging me for some time.

When digitizing in Design shop and then clicking on the Status tab, the
stitch count will show the number of stitches in the design, right??

Why is it that when opening the design in Amaya and Machine Loading it, the
stitch count always reads less ? This difference is anywhere from 700 to
2000 stitches and always less than what the same design will show when
opened up in Design Shop.

The largest difference I have seen is almost 7000 stitches. I am going to
assume that the design Machine Loaded in Amaya is the most accurate of the
two readings.

One other difference I have noted is with the ruler. If you measure , say ,
the width of a design and then check the dimensions of this design in
Properties--Status, the status dimensions always show a larger figure than
the ruler. Why. ?

It would eliminate a step in digitizing if both the figures matched while
digitizing. Just curious...
