Hi all, you can tell I am still relatively new at the business, because I still have problems figuring out how to price things. I know there is the "$1 per thousand stitches" concept, which generally works fine. I also have a price I charge for digitizing, a bit low becuase I am still slow. However, a friend in the business (who is out of town) also charges a "set-up" fee and I need to ask about this. I have a small order for logos on shirts. So I need to digitize the design, which will be fun because it includes a sun that changes colors so I can use that feature, and buy the shirts, some of which are oxford cloth and others T-shirts. He just wanted the T-shirts printed but I do not have the inkjet printer machine (I wish!). How well do transfers hold up? I was thinking I would just embroider his logo on the T-shirts, but could advice on sewing on that kind of knit. My experiences with knits so far have not been good - probably the wrong stabilizer or wrong combination.

Also - boy, I ask a lot, don't I? - what is the markup on the shirts that I should apply? I appreciate all answers, and I know that some things are regional, but at least some ballpark ideas will help me a lot.
