Not only is the notepad very beneficial for all the misc info - anything you
want to put in there (supplier, pricing, material thickness, etc.) but when
you print the design you can also tell it to print your notes. I keep a
notebook with all the prints of designs, thread colors, notes. Customers
can look through the notebook. Plus I can refer to it when I want to set up
the same or something similar. To get the correct thread colors I've
assigned them in the color properties.

Notepad! Notepad? hmmmmmm...something else we didn't know about!
Does it 'save' what you have set, or do you have to 'type in' whatever notes
you want saved? That would be great if we lose the sewout with the threads
written down! And what's the bugs in it?

The only way that the colors would come up right
is if the design was created or edited in Design shop
and saved as an .OFM format and only then
would it show the colors if they were clicked and picked
in the program and saved afterwards.
and even then if you have use colors from design
unchecked in settings it may not show them or show
them correctly. but once you open the design in Amaya OS
and set the colors and then save as and name your file
either a new name or the same old one. the right color
scheme should show up next time it is opened.
But, it will only show the color assigned to the thread tree number
when it was saved. So if you save the design with one part
being thread 16 which was lt blue at the time and now
has been changed to be orange, when the design is opened
it will show it as orange because it save the thread tree number
sequence not the actual assigned thread chart numbers .
Hope that makes some sense.
We use the notepad function to save the color list and then it will
come up when we open the design. all we do is hit the notepad
button again and there it is.
Still working out some of the bugs on that one but it is a cool function.
