Hey folks,
It's been a while since I've had any real problems with my four XT's; but my 
boss bought me a new XTS about 2 weeks ago.  We are using Ver. 9 to run it, 
just like the XT's; but the acti-feed function doesn't seem to be functioning 
at all.  No matter what I put the thread feed settings on or what I set the 
presser-foot height at, the acti-feed display always stays at 2.  I have to run 
it on standard or I get all sorts of problems- looping, broken needles, and 
bobbin breaks- all day long.  I have tried everything I can think of, but still 
have to run on standard to get good results.  And for some periods of time each 
day, the thread feed gear does not want to go to the home position, and then 
the clicking starts on color changes- and, of course I have to stop the machine 
and manually send the thread feed gear home.  Like I said, we are running this 
machine with the ver. 9 I already had- could this be a software problem?  The 
new machine came with new software, but the boss want
 ed to let the IT guy downstairs take a look at it first to see if we could 
just "drop-in" text on my files.  Do any of you out there think I need to 
install the new software immediately or do you think that possibly I have 
gotten a new machine with a faulty sensor or something?  Any help is 
appreciated.  PM me if you think you have the fix- that way I will notice the 
icon on the desktop & can see the answer right away, as I have a backlog you 
would not believe.  Thank you in advance for any help you all offer.
